[Advent 2025] THE COMING KING

{part two} PEACE: PREPARING OUR HEARTS   Mary’s response to the angel - “Let it be to me according to your word” - is a model of trust and surrender. Advent invites us to prepare our hearts for Christ’s coming  by receiving God’s peace even when His plans surprise us...     Luke 1:26-38   Isaiah 40:1-5   Philippians 4:6-7     What part of Mary’s response to God challenges or inspires you the most?       How does God’s peace differ from the world’s peace?       What keeps you from experiencing the peace of Christ during busy seasons?       What is one area of your life where you sense God inviting you to trust Him more deeply?

[Advent 2025] THE COMING KING

{part one} HOPE: The Promise of His Coming   Advent begins by looking back to the very first promise that God would send a Redeemer. Through the prophet Isaiah, God reassured His people that even in darkn ess, a great light was coming. This hope is not  wishful thinking  –  it's  anchored in God’s faithfulness...     Isaiah 9:1-7   Genesis 3:15   Romans 15:12-13     Where do you see “darkness” in today’s world, and how does the promise of Christ speak into that?       Why do you think God often gives promises long before fulfilling them?       How does biblical hope differ from  optimism ?   How does this shape your own perspective?       Can you think of (and share) a time when God’s promises carried you through a difficult season?
